Elevate your wedding moments with the mesmerizing charm of bubbles. As you sway to the rhythm of your love song, let ambient bubbles envelop you, turning every moment into a fairytale.
We have all seen a bubble float across the air, and we all love it no matter our age. But what if I told you there is so much more to bubbles than you could ever have imagined? There is a whole artistry around bubbles that far surpasses the simple act of blowing a bubble, and I am not just talking about shooting bubble guns into a celebratory crowd. This blog post will showcase new innovative ways to incorporate bubble magic into your wedding.
There are three new ways to incorporate bubble entertainment into your wedding; through a photo shoot and/or photo booth, a bubble show or hiring an ambient bubble artist.
Bubble Photo Shoot or Photo Booth:
This service can be a private photoshoot between the happy couple prior to the wedding, or it can be a photo booth at the wedding venue on the special day. These services feature heart shaped bubble wands and the Man-in-a-Bubble prop that puts the bride and groom, or guests into a life sized bubble using the bubble artist's special bubble solution.
The Bubble Artist will bring:
Non-slip Carpets 12 ft x 12 ft
Lights & Backdrop
Man-in-a-Bubble prop
Heart shaped bubble wands
Music for ambience (if applicable)
Premium Bubble Solution
Duration: 1-2 hours
Venue requirements:
Indoor
Minimum 12 ft by 12 ft floor space
Minimum 10 ft ceilings
Pros: Once in a lifetime opportunity to be encapsulated into a life sized bubble from high end bubble equipment sourced globally from top manufacturers.
Cons: The carpets get slippery which can be difficult to maneuver on in formal shoes. The bubble artist however, will always be there to monitor and assure the guests, bride and groom are safe.
Bubble Show:
The bubble show is a 30 minute bubble performance in which the performer uses hand bubble tricks, bubble wands, smoke bubbles, steam bubbles, fire bubbles and LED light technology, ending with a man-in-a-bubble finale for the bride, groom, and their most cherished guests. The audience can be on 1,2 or 3 sides of the performer.
The Bubble Artist will Provide:
Non-slip carpets 12 ft by 12 ft
Lights & Backdrop
Music
Bubble machine
Props table
Bubble wands
Smoke bubbles
Steam bubbles
Kabuki Streamers
LED table
Customizable Light wands
Fire bubbles
Venue must provide:
Power outlet
Indoor
Minimum 12 ft ceilings
Minimum 12 ft by 12 ft performance area
Pros: The artist uses props that are guaranteed to impress the audience as they are very unique and rarely seen in Canada.
Cons: Set up and tear down time of 45 minutes which can be distracting for the guests.
Ambient Bubble Artist
This service is an indoor or outdoor option for your wedding. Hire a bubble artist to entertain guests up close with their hand bubble tricks, smoke bubbles, fire bubbles and high end bubble wands.
If the bubble artist is indoors, she will bring most of the same equipment as she would in the bubble show, however she would be a “walk by act”, allowing people to observe her skills for a few minutes before they go mingle with other guests or get a drink at the bar. If the artist is outdoors then her bubble props will be limited to hand, smoke, fire and bubble wand tricks.
Pros: Intimate and interactive. Guests will witness some of the amazing bubble show tricks but up close and personal. If the artist is stationed outside, she can roam throughout the grounds.
Cons: If the artist is stationed indoors, she will be restricted to performing on her carpet to prevent a wet floor throughout the venue.
GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS:
Bubble Artist Arrival Time:
The bubble performer arrives onsite 90 minutes prior to showtime to park, set-up and change into costume.
Greenroom:
A greenroom for the performer to change into costume is highly appreciated. If that is not a possibility, please notify the performer prior to the event so that she can make other arrangements.
Load-in / Parking:
Although “light and airy” comes to mind when thinking of bubbles, it’s actually quite the opposite. The bubble performer arrives with up to three loads of equipment and up to 6 gallons of premium bubble solution. Therefore please ensure there is a designated parking spot close to the entrance, or at least a load in zone for her to bring in her equipment.
Outdoor Shows & Weather Conditions:
Outdoor events, particularly those without an alternative back--up indoor space, can be risky due to unforeseen weather conditions. The bubble artist cannot guarantee the intricate bubble tricks she performs indoors will necessarily work outdoors if there are high winds and/or low humidity. In these circumstances, the artist will modify her act to be able to perform an exceptional experience with just as many bubbles.
Indoor Shows:
The performer will always bring marine grade carpets to leave no mess. Typically an indoor performance is reliable and consistent, however some factors like Air Con and humidity levels may affect the integrity of the bubbles. However the bubble artist will be able to adapt and modify to keep the magic of bubbles alive.
Safety:
Bubble artists should be equipped with 3rd party liability insurance. Additionally, the bubble artist will bring pylons and signs to instruct people not to go into their bubble zone while it is unattended.
I hope you enjoyed learning about the dreamy charm of bubbles, and how they can add magic to your special day!
