Alicia Nieto

(70&7) Photography

"Photography in general is a way to express myself not with just an image but through fashion photography. I feel free to liberate my creative spirit and to explore images out of the ordinary, finding new perspectives on reality or even redefining what “reality” means."

Alicia is passionate about Photography and Fashion to which she has applied herself since obtaining her Fine Arts degree at Seville University in 2001.

She was invited to give a lecture in “Photographic production for a fashion editorial” (#ESSDMTALKS channel, April 2020) She explains the process, she follows to organize a fashion photo shoot from conception, production the actual photo shoot and post-production.

She uses her personal vision to create some images of Daniel Carrasco´s design inspired by Real Alcázar, Seville tapestry.  She exhibited her photographic work along these creations in Cámara de Comercio, Sevilla (October 2018) and Fundación Cajasur, Córdoba (March 2019).

She acts as General Director of 70&7 Photography Company specializing in fashion. She is involved in educational activity as a Tenured Professor for Digital Photography/Audio-Visual Media and Visual Language at the Seville School of Fashion (Escuela Sevilla de Moda) teaching these subjects to university degree level. 

 

Previously Alicia spent ten years living in the UK. In that time she led numerous artistic projects and exhibitions such as the St Helens World of Glass Museum, and 5ª TheGallery. She worked as In-house photographer for publications such as ASM magazine, ASM Bridal magazine and Harvey Nichols. You can find her work in covers and editorials of Spanish and international publications suck as Photo Vogue, La Revista de Sotogrande, Sheeba Magazine, y Lucía se Casa, among others.

 

Six of those years were spent providing Visual Merchandising guidance for Harvey Nichols as Manager, and as Head of Visual Merchandising for Emma Somerset, where she designed visual and window displays for more than twenty shops in some of the top fashion centres in the UK include Knightsbridge
